I bought 2 off these as both my wife and myself have upgraded to the 740 Go live, within the 30min window I checked TomTom site to ensure they are compatitble only to find that Tom Tom sells them at 19,99 USD each + 6 USD shipping. So canc order in amazon asap and reordered via Tom Tom ( had to pay the tax but still only 6 % ) saved a bundle -- Watch Price

I purchased this for my TT GO 740. When then bluetooth connects it works like a charm, but that is the issue. There are times the remote will not connect or will drop the BT connection. I think this is an issue with the GPS unit but affects the value of the remote and its software from other reports on TomTom forums.
The remote itself is very nice and easy to use. Pricey and should have been included with the GO 740, IMHO.

I love using and think it is a very worthwhile addition but a bit pricey.

I bought this remote for my TomTom GO730. Its quite easy to set up and very easy to use. BUT, it has a BIG problem sometimes when it stops connected to the unit and can be quite difficult sometimes to get it to pair with the device again. The remote itself is great to use when driving, especially if you use it for the JukeBox feature. As far as I know there is no way to access the jukebox itself from the remote, however you CAN skip tracks and go back and stuff once the music is playing through the FM transmitter. The only way to have music automatically start when you turn the device on is to have the Jukebox set to open from the "Start up" settings. The remote is a great product and a great value, but as with any product it does have its faults. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. -- Works great....when it works
