This traffic receiver gets pretty good reception over most of the areas that I have to drive. There are certain areas where I wish it would receive live traffic updates so that I could see what is coming up ahead but for the most part I am getting really good results and it helps me to choose which route that I am going to take. This is a very cool accessory and if you are in the coverage area then I would definitely recommend buying it. The ads are very small and I never notice them but there have been a couple of times when I have clicked on them because they are for a good coupon or deal somewhere so that is another added bonus. This works as advertised on my Magellan 4700. I have owned a 760 with traffic and an 860T which required annual subscriptions for $40/year. In exchange for small and NOT INTRUSIVE advertising, this works forever for about the same price. This works on our 1470 too! I buy a new Magellan GPS every year as it is the only way to get the newest maps and I expect this traffic link to be used on the next one as well. Also, after I installed the latest firmware update, the installation did not go as the installation proceedure said it would; instead, it was 100% fully automatic; I did not have to activate or turn on anything for this to work; I only had to plug it in and power up the unit. -- Traffic for life and on your NEXT one too
This little item works great in the big cities. Nice to be able to have traffic at your fingertips. Has some advertisements but is worth the $$. -- Be in the Know
