I bought this mount based on Gray Geezer Man's review and am very happy with the mount. Thank you! I paired the Bracketron Low Pro Windshield mount with the Glisson beanbag mount like he did. The suction cup on the Bracketron Low Pro is about 3 inches in diameter; much bigger than the mounts that come with most GPS units and thus much more powerful. I am using the Magellan Maestro 4700; I cannot comment on how this would work with a Garmin. However, Garmin makes their own dedicated dashboard mounts that would probably be better than this set up.

For me, the square shape of the Glisson bean bag fits on the dashboard snugly against the dashboard cowl (think diamond orientation with one corner pointed at the windshield) much better than the round Bracketron bean bag nav-mat. I keep a rectangular plastic container (no lid) that I just put the entire assembly (Magellan Maestro 4700, Bracketron Low Pro, Glisson Beanbag, and power cable) in and put in my trunk to keep it out of sight and protected when not in use. -- Paired with a Glisson beanbag mount

Coupled with the Gilsson Bean Bag it goes anywhere. Even fits nicely on the small dash of my Ultra Classic Harley for road trips. Small enough to put in my laptop bag for travel -- Low Profile goes anywhere

I got this mount specifically for the Gilsson dashboard mount. The provided connector for my Magellan fit perfectly and this thing has been as solid as could be. I haven't tried sticking the suction cup anywhere else, but I don't think it'll ever fall off the dash pillow without me releasing it. It's a great size too for this type of application. One of my other GPS mounts was too high, bumping the windshield even at it's lowest setting. -- Wonderful addition to the Gilsson Dash-mount
