You will Love, LOve, LOVe, LOVE this invention! It's super easy to connect to your AC vents, holds steady, doesn't flop around, and it allows you to have your phone at eye level basically. It's a lifesaver for me!! The one problem you might encounter is with the iphone speaker the support legs on the bottom will cover the speakers if straight out, so just angle them. The phone will stay and you'll be able to hear just fine. I'm getting these for Christmas gifts and it's only March!!! LOL -- Great Invention!

When I bought this, I wasn't sure if my Navigon GPS would fit into it, or whether it would fit an a/c vent in my Corvette. I'm happy to report that the answer is yes to both issues. It seems well made and it mounts securely, replacing the "hockey stick" that Navigon gave us to mount the GPS in the windshield. We'll give it a road test this weekend when we hit the highway to visit family, and if we have problems I'll report back. -- pleasantly surprised, so far

This complex device holder worked fine for a few months. One day I secured my iPod in the holder and the iPod fell out as I started driving. I put it back in a couple more times; when it quickly fell out each time, I realized that the holder was listing to one side. I tried adjusting it upward but it was already pointing all the way up. Then I noticed that one of the two air vent grippers was no longer gripping the vent. Upon inspection I found that the outer vent clip, along with its spring, had vanished. They're nowhere to be found in the car; I think it's likely that they're now inside the air duct. The clip piece must have broken since it would otherwise have stayed on the arm's track. The device holder is completely useless now.

UPDATE: I called the company. They said to go to their website and look toward the bottom of the main page for the link to order replacement bracket springs set for free. It's [...]. The link is in red and is fairly easy to find. Once I sent the email, they actually sent a replacement set via USPS - free! My guess is, I was far from the only one who had this problem. Clearly, the company stands behind their product and is committed to customer satisfaction and easily resolving problems, so I've upgraded my review from three to five stars. -- Very good product, excellent customer service

I just installed this yesterday for use with my HTC Hero.
Other reviews have complained that it's too difficult to switch between landscape and portrait modes because it's done with a nut that tightens from the back. Not at all the case. You can easily set that nut to an appropriate tension to allow it to hold firm but be movable. I love it. Very adjustable and stable. Not too difficult to take off either, if you prefer.
Check the max size before ordering for a large GPS unit, but if yours fits or you have a higher end phone that you're using as your navigation unit (as I am), this is exactly what you're looking for.
Overall, a great clip. Mounts right up easily, and doesn't look gawdy.

I purchased this mount for my Motorola Droid, to use with the new Google Maps Navigation. Installation was easy, though the instructions are very vague. The swivel works well, and was easy for me to position to suit me. The adjustable nature of the mount means that I can have the phone in the mount, and still have easy access to the charging port and headphone jack. It is easy to insert and remove the phone. It does feel a little flimsy, and I think the button to expand the side holders may wear out over time. Also, it doesn't expand quite far enough to hold the Droid in landscape position. This isn't a deal-breaker, though. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied for $14, instead of Verizon's $30 mount. -- So far so good...
