This iPhone car holder is more sturdy than my previous generic model, which broke after just a couple of months of use, and didn't cost much more. It clips tightly into the vent of my Volvo V70 and holds the phone firmly without scratching it. Not compatible with most iPhone cases, but I was aware of that in advance. -- Just what I was looking for

I bought this cradle about 3 - 4 months ago and it works fine. It's strong and fits nicely in the air vent and hold the phone firmly. One caveat: mine came with little rubber pads on the curved brackets that secure the phone. The cradle barley fits an iphone without any sleeve on it and the addition of the rubber creates instability. It allows the phone to pop out of the cradle and on to the floor of your vehicle. Take the pads off the curved brackets and the phone is snug as a bug in rug. -- Good product

Been using this with great success for 3 months (I have an '88 Camry).

Holds the phone very securely and keeps it well-positioned.

Only problem is the rubber boot on the top clip that holds the iphone has split, so the phone is now susceptible to scratches when inserting/removing. I'm going to see if I can get a replacement from Arkon or come up with a DIY fix....if not, this limits the useful life of this accessory. Four stars for now...

I emailed Arkon through their website and they promptly sent me two of the rubber boots for the top piece, free of charge. Five stars! -- Fantastic--one problem, but good service from Arkon

Seems like a good mount, keeps it out of windshield so it doesn't block view. This, like most iphone accessories, is not designed to work with a case or cover around your phone. I used a small butane torch to heat and gently spread the plastic so that it would accept it with my Otterbox rubber cover on. Be easy with it, pull flame away before it blisters and just bend a little bit at a time, and it should fit anything. It's a nice design overall though and seems to give enough angle adjustment for most cars. Plus it doesn't leave anything behind (suction cup marks, sticky stuff, screw holes) if you remove it or switch cars. -- versatile, worth it
